In a heartwarming twist, Married at First Sight (MAFS) couple Jacqui Burfoot and Clint Rice recently recreated their first dance on live TV, offering a delightful do-over moment. This time, however, with a playful reminder to Clint, "Don't drop her," referencing Jacqui's memorable MAFS wedding mishap in 2025.
The couple, who found love after the 2025 series, revealed their real-life wedding was a far cry from their on-screen experiences. Today Extra host Sylvia Jeffreys set the stage, reminding Jacqui of her first dance mishap with MAFS match Ryan Donnelly, where he accidentally dropped her during their first dance. Despite Ryan's horror, Jacqui laughed it off, and their recreation with Clint was nothing short of magical.
In the video, the couple waltzed gracefully to their first dance song, "Ordinary" by Alex Warren. Jacqui's giggles and Clint's successful dip made for a charming moment, followed by an on-screen kiss. Their real-life wedding, held in Jacqui's home country, New Zealand, was an intimate affair, with the bride gushing about marrying her soulmate, Clint.
"It was really amazing. The best part was I got to marry Clint," Jacqui said. Their wedding was a private, intimate celebration, with close friends and family, and a unique venue - a penthouse with a Michelin key rating.
Their romance blossomed after the MAFS experiment. Jacqui, previously married to Ryan in the show, found love with Clint after her romance with Ryan ended. Similarly, Clint, who was married to Lauren Hall on the show, connected with Jacqui after his relationship with Lauren didn't work out.
Their engagement, announced in April 2025 during the Reunion episode, came as a surprise to fans, as the couple had only confirmed their relationship the episode before.
"At least we found each other," Jacqui said during their piece-to-camera. Clint replied, "I didn't expect to meet anyone like you."
This story is a beautiful reminder that love can find its way, even in unexpected places. It's a testament to the power of connection and the ability to move on and find happiness. Congratulations to Jacqui and Clint on their happy ending!
